Are you a lefty? I'm a righty and the view of the drummer is one of the main reasons I like stage right (audience's left).Audience view.... On the right.
Better view of the drummer.
I get what you're saying, but after so many years of practicing with earplugs, It's easier if I can just watch the drummer instead of trying to hear everything. If he's on my left, I can view my fretboard when needed.Next to the drummer's hi-hat, so it depends on if he's lefty or righty.
