Stage lighting question

So my classic rock bar band's guitarist has decided to move on. We'll be holding auditions for a replacement, but in the meantime there's another issue: he owned the stage lights, a pair of 4-bar stands (Chauvet, I think). I'm going to wait to see how things develop so there's a bit of time, but unless the new guitarist happens to own a set of lighting, I figure it will probably be up to me to acquire or at least recommend something.

I could just reproduce what we had and get a couple of 4-bar sets myself. Looks like the basic ones from ADJ or Chauvet would run in the $350-450 range each. Eliminator has a mini one for about $250 that might be an option.

But I'm wondering what else might work. I'm intrigued by these wash panels: Chauvet DJ SlimBANK Q18 ILS Quad-color LED Wash . What I was wondering is if I could mount two of them on top of the main PA speakers, angled in and down, and get an adequate wash of the stage, or at least us in the front line. If it's enough light, in small clubs that could also spare us the clutter of another set of poles to mount lights on. I checked my mains (Yamaha DXR10) and they have an m8 hole in the top handles one could attach a lighting bracket through.

Then I was thinking of one or two of these - Chauvet DJ EZWedge Tri RGB Battery-powered Wash - back by the drummer, sort of as backlighting (yes, I know they're meant to illuminate trusses, but they seem like they could be tucked in different spots to create some depth). Maybe also some LED strips - we have a kind of frame for a banner and one could possible run LED up the posts of it.

Part of all this is that I just have a modest-sized car that's already packed to the gills with bass gear and PA when I bring PA, so I'm trying to figure out how to get lighting needs met basically with stuff I could put in the passenger seat.

Feedback, ideas?

LOL if I could fit a rig to do that in my Subaru, I totally would! I'm a one-time theater major myself and trying to light a bar band, I always want face lighting out front at a 60 degree angle above us. But unless we're going to load a whole truss into the bar, that's not generally an option.

Don't forget that you want two face lights at about 40º to 45º on either side, one gelled warm and the other one gelled cool (no stinkin' LED lights, here)...

We have 4 ADJ bars that sit on the floor, placed behind drums/amps. These aren’t the exact ones, but general idea. UB 6H

For a bar band, they get the job done

This venue has a lot of its own lighting, but you can see ours along the back. They look much better without venue lighting.
