Double Bass Stagg EUB size

Hello,
I'm considering the stagg EUB (as it's the only one I can afford) but I'm not sure if it'll be tall enough for me. I'm 5'9" and I'm 14 so I haven't stopped growing yet. Has anyone had experience with this bass? Is it tall enough?
Thanks for your help,
Joe

I have one and I'm 5'10", no problems height wise at all, the adjustable end-pin has a pretty good range to it. The Stagg is a decent EUB, especially for the price. You may have to do a bit of setup to it at first but once you get it dialed in you should be good to go.

Could you put the pin at max-height and measure how tall it is to the nut? Also, how long is it in the bag?

Just to throw another option in there, the Harley Benton EUB, which is exactly the same as a Palatino, some have even come in a Palatino box with tape over the name, is available from Thomann for £277 delivered for the black one. I've just got one and it doesn't seem to need as much doing to it as the Stagg needs. Obviously some will better finished than others with both makes so maybe I got lucky. I prefered the shape of the Benton over the Stagg.

Isn't the skeleton shoulder in the wrong place on the Harley Benton?

Sorry Josiah I totally spaced measuring the Stagg for you the other night. I just measured and here is what I got:

Length of bag = 65 inches

Length of bass from end of pin to nut = 75 inches

Hope this is the info you are looking for if not let me know what you need and I will provide it, quicker this time I promise.

Does the endpin wiggle at full length? Also, how long is it from the nut to the endpin with the endpin pulled in?

It comes out at right angles to the body which isn't quite right but I'm playing rockabilly so isn't so much of an issue. I'm going to fix it though so it sits comfortably against me.
The brace just pushes into a hole at the top and into an adjustable bracket at the bottom so it is very easy to make a completely new one that suits your needs.
I figured if I'm going to fix myself or pay to get fixed the problems a Stagg comes with then fixing the brace is no biggy.
I was stuck between the Stagg and the Pally/Benton purely for financial reasons, they both have their fans and they both have their downfalls and I ended up going for the Benton because it is hollow bodied, has a proper bridge, ebony fingerboard and looks a bit more DB like(ish).
I would've liked to have tried both out before buying but no one carries them around here. I'm more than happy with mine and it doesn't appear to need any board dressing as I've found no buzzing yet.
I'm not trying to steer you away from the Stagg though, I'm sure it's just as good, just thought I'd show you another budget option.

BTW I'm six foot and the nut is at eye level and it's got around 3 or 4 inches of travel left on the endpin.

Sorry for not getting back to this sooner. Thanks for your advice, i'll give it a look. I really like the sound of the stagg though, so I'm leaning torques that one
