Hi,
I bought a brand new natural/honey colored Stagg upright bass from a dealer in San Francisco off E-Bay about 3 months ago. Played it maybe 10 times. Never been out of house or dropped etc.
Few days ago, I noticed a Major Crack in headstock where it attaches to neck. Looks like I prevented a catastrophic failure by catching it in time. I de-stringed it to pull the tension off and tried to contact the dealer. No reply.
Anyone have any experience with headstock failure on these or repair methods?? Has Stagg honored their warranty for you? Did they repair or replace and how long did it take?
Anyone have to go the repair route with your local luthier?
Heartbroken, and feeling ripped off.
All comments welcome.
Jeff
