Love it, I had an hour on it today. I didn't intend to but had to walk past it (on it's stand) and just sort of got carried away.

That looks really nice! All the photos I have previously seen of Violin Burst have made it look a bit artificial, but that's a very classy finish.
Mine is now my go-to bass. I'd leave it plugged in if it didn't drain the battery! My elder son, Thomas (14) was working out an acoustic blues guitar arrangement of "Iko Iko" yesterday, and I joined in on my Stagg. It rocks! I'll have to record it some time.

Violin Burst.
It was my first choice, but I would have bought red if the price had stayed where it was just one day longer.
Also... I'm disappointed that I didn't know about the Deluxe version before purchasing. It is currently only ~$4 - $25 more depending on model (Amazon).
And man, those prices fluctuate! The red (std) was going for $415 early last week, then jumped up to $699 a few days later. Honey is currently riding about $100 cheaper than most of the others.

Old thread, but I found the link in the MegaThread. The Stagg I just bought used (with a repaired headstock) is all black.
It didn't come with body pieces, and I managed to break the zipper on the bag the first night I had it.
Bodged the zip back together for now. Looking to add the foil tape, possibly bypass the preamp and make a little "foot" that I can use to stabilize the bass while I play.

Red, honey and violin burst.
Like the honey with the (now) rosewood fingerboard best, next the red with the black neck (and DIY MiDI-pickup) and only got the violin burst (without strings, bridge and electronics) because of the rosewood neck that I exchanged with honeys neck.
But mostly play my 5-string Clevinger.
The Stagg should be transported horizontally if you don't want to damage the endpin side of the bag.
The headstock can become much stronger if you strip off the laquer on the back of the headstock and hide glue a (ply-)wood back against that.

I bent the body support (upper part only) so the contact with by body is equally well on upper and lower part (looks a bit strange) and wound rubber foam around the support so it doesn't slip too easily but doesn't stick too much either. That way the support doesn't press too deep into the body.
