Double Bass Stagg pickup upgrade

Just checked my order from years back, that's the model that exactly fitted my bridge, without having to redrill a thing. My Stagg is a good free years old now so I can't say for sure it's a fit, but it fits mine. I'll take a photo when I get it out next...
And record the sound, please, a line signal is fine. I just want to listen.

I recorded a short passage simultaneously with Remic and a Rode clip-on mic into a Zoom H5: sorry, I am not sure now which track was which (after I split stereo to mono)...
here is the quick mounting of the mics: remic.jpg rode.jpg ...

Unkle Rolik, in your diagram above, the green dot is not the only 'port' to the microphone. There is also a port (or hole) in the bottom of foam which is pressed against the wooden top of the bass, to pick up the direct body sound.
The polar patterns of the remic mics are described on the remic web site.
The remic is quite expensive and DoubleMIDIs suggestions could save you a lot of expense. You could also buy some camera-case foam or a soft foam 'nerf' ball and mount a small electret that way - like this:
good luck!

Thanks allot. I can't buy remic now, because politic situation not quite well. And it's not posible. But I can use electret mic and now im just wait till mic arrived to me (electret with amplifier).
My scheme with mount remic mostly for you, because you say that can not think of a position where the remic could be mounted. I just want to help, if you want to do experiment. Thats all.
My trys to record with electret mic also would be in the future posts.

Many thanks. I think remicvsrode1.mp3 thats a remic. remicvsrode2.mp3 we heared buzz I think thats a metal clip. But both sound are greate.

I think I have my first Stagg EUB more than 10 years ago, later one with the enhanced headstock and a rosewood fingerboard (but without a bridge, it was cheap and I wanted the rosewood fingerboard for an older Stagg).

Just a few months ago I saw an even newer Stagg that was marketed under a different name and it had the same bridge as my old ones.

Maybe the metal inserts to the bridge just had the right diameter.
I got my Full Circle used without the inserts and used the old inserts from my brass adjusters. (BTW, all mm threads for me.)

The adjuster threads from the Stagg bridge are very thick.
A picture might be nice.

So sorry for the delay on this, I had my Stagg buried in a cupboard! Here's a few pics of the fitted Full Circle, as you can see it's height adjusted on the Full Circle just fine...

And a sound sample...forgive the playing (and intonation!), it's just a quick example direct from the Full Circle into a Focusrite Scarlett and recorded into Ableton with no effects added. I normally play it with a Fishman BII, so you can get a more double bass sound out of it with that.
Thanx. Good sound. And I think maybe I will change pickup later. But now I want mic sound. And I hope realize my idea in january. Sorry for late answer, crazy days.

Hi! So i'm back.) And now I have electret mic with preamp. And bass sound better. But in these scheme have some trouble. Feedback and you need using eq to filtering. And I think need more time to find right mic poition. But it is my first experiment.
Mic betwen two bridge pcs.

Hi! I'm done with it. And done allot of work. Standard pickup and preamp of stagg useless, realy ***** stuff. I don't know why, but electronics cut high frequencies, but save the noise in same frequency. So Im removed Standard pickup and electronics, batary holder too. And plug piezo ceramic pickup, and using electret mic too. Here a result.
