I think Episode I, as an introduction to the beginning of the saga and central characters, was done pretty well, we got to see right off the bat alot of the skills of the Jedi, and there was some cool foreshadowing, and then there's Darth Maul, who was criminally underused, killed off too quickly, and was participant in the hands down best lightsaber duels of the entire saga. Much better than the obi wan vs. anakin duel.

The problem with that movie is that, like the original one that came out in 77 (Episode IV), the pacing was really bad, and alot of the movie was just setups to the 2 or 3 pivotal big money-shot scenes...but on the whole, it was good, and I kinda liked the notion of the force being symbiant beings to ourselves... I didn't love the whole "Christ child immaculate conception" aspect of Anakin, but it was tied up nicely with hints in Episode III, by the Chancellor in the Opera House.

Episode II was too reliant on cheesy one liners, a hamfisted, implausible romance, and a rushed beginning to what was supposed to be an epic war...and Yoda fighting Dooku was lame, as was the Dooku Anakin Obi duel...and Hayden Christiansen, who CAN actually act, was very bad and not a good sell for the last two movies, I didn't believe him for a second.

Please. No more movies. Please.

How is that even possible? I'm not a member of any of the groups he ridiculed with his charicatures disguised as characterization and I was offended. Jar Jar didn't offend me. He just annoyed me.

I thought he was supposed to be Cajun, myself. I mean, he looked like a crawdad, lived in a swamp, and had problems speaking Galactic so others could understand him. Plus, I've got Cajun relatives, and he reminded me of them somewhat ;)

I'd love to see Lucas make the Timothy Zahn storyline into a movie, complete with original actors. They're about the right age and everything.

I'd be suspicious of a new Lucas storyline between Episode VI and Heir to the Empire, though. Truce at Bakura and The Courtship of Princess Leia, as well as numerous short stories, cover that period of time just fine. Just film the books, George. They're fantastic, already.

BTW, for those who don't know, there are 20-some odd books, and counting, chronicalling the Star Wars Universe after Episode VI, including an invasion from a neighboring galaxy. Good stuff, and great storylines involving Luke, Leia, and Han in middle age.

Maybe, but if you look at them those hair/ear things look like dreads kind of.

When Episode III came out, VH1 had a special called "When Star Wars Ruled" or something like that. It interviewed Hamill, Fisher, Ford and a lot of the original people involed including John Williams. Although he didn't have anything concrete, he seemed to think that the franchise would continue.

I could see Star Wars becoming like the James Bond franchise. There is enough of a rabid fan-base that they could keep making money for years.

Mark Hamill's mentioned that future episodes thing off and on over the years... and it's not gonna happen. Lucas basically condensed some of the major elements of the future episodes (including the introduction of Luke's sister, and the showdown with the Emperor) and stripped it all down into Return of the Jedi, and he will now claim that it was always supposed to be only 6 episodes and the 9 or 12 episode thing was something created by the media. ;)

I don't think it's a good idea. The story has been "continued" in games so much that i think they've used all the good ideas. Plus, nowadays they somehow screw up every movie with little bit more special effects than lighting. (e.g. Star Wars I,II,III.. well, maybe not III) It's like they expect everyone to be in awe of the effects, but the story is left to 2nd place. Don't get me wrong, SW 1,2,3 have a great plot and i liked at least the 2 latter but somehow they missed something...

September 15, 2005 - IGN FilmForce can exclusively report that Lucasfilm is seeking screenwriters for its planned TV series based on George Lucas' Star Wars film saga.

Keeping with Lucas' penchant for security, the show will be scripted at the bearded one's secluded Skywalker Ranch. Work will commence this January. Lucas and his colleague Rick McCallum will produce the still untitled show.

The series is slated to run 50 hours and will be a mixture of live-action and CGI. Principal photography will begin in 2007 with filming to take place in Australia.

While the show will apparently revolve around imperial bounty hunters, there could be other directions taken. The series will take place after the Empire has risen to power

Notoriously unapologetic "Star Wars" creator Lucas -- who still owes the world an "I'm sorry" for Jar Jar Binks and "The Star Wars Holiday Special" -- has admitted he was wrong to let Boba die so unceremoniously, and contemplated adding a scene where Boba crawls out of the pit.

"In the case of Boba Fett's death, had I known he was going to turn into such a popular character, I probably would have made it a little more exciting," Lucas explains on the "Return of the Jedi" commentary track. "...For having such a small part he had a very large presence."

With Daniel Logan rumoured to be reprising his role, I think it's a fairly safe bet at least some of the TV series is going to be about Boba Fett...

Ford was approached by Daniel Logan, 18, who played young Boba Fett in Episode II: Attack of the Clones. Lucas said Logan's character may be included in his live-action Star Wars TV series, which is in the works.
