Is that a '51 body?
Headstock has been reworked. With the relocation of the G string tuner and the removal of the previous G String location headstock wood, the remaining neck-dive should be gone. I also love the new shape of the headstock.I’m going to rework the neck headstock to help the balance. I’m going to move the G string tuner down to the right of the E & A tuners, the reshape the top of the headstock to eliminate the old G string tuner hole. It’s definitely going to look different but should eliminate the minor but of neck-dive that still exists.
I’ll posts pics when it’s done. This should turn out to be a great playing bass.
Forgive me if I already mentioned this on another thread. If so, consider this a tip for others facing the same choices.I’m still debating on the MM style pickup and a 3-way mini switch for single/parallel/series set-up.

Which Delano (MM) did you use?Forgive me if I already mentioned this on another thread. If so, consider this a tip for others facing the same choices.
I faced a similar sitch with a J/MM Projekt. I had a 2-way, ON/ON mini-toggle lying around that I wanted to put to use, so the dual-coil humbucker seemed like a logical choice.

Since I only had two options to choose from, I spent some time twisting and taping different leads together to see which of the four settings…bridge coil, neck coil, parallel and series…sounded best in it's passive form. Series definitely sounded better than parallel, but what was really interesting was how similar the neck and bridge coils sounded when isolated. So, when it came time to do the quasi-permanent soldering, I decided to go with the bridge coil since it was the furthest away from the neck pickup as possible.
So, if your options are limited, and you have the time and patience to do a little non-permanent experimentation, it couldn't hurt to try this-and-that to see what sounds best to you.![]()
The dual-coil MC4 FE. There was a fantastic sale on it, and the JMVC4 FE/M2 split-coil Jazz, through Best Bass Gear at that time. I am so glad I pounced when I did! (I've earmarked them for that J/MM/J Jazz I wrote about in post#13. Once I get a matching FE/M2 Jazz bridge pickup, I'm set.)Which Delano (MM) did you use?
I have a Delano MC 4 FE/M2 in stock. It just might be the ticket. The dual-coil MC4 FE. There was a fantastic sale on it, and the JMVC4 FE/M2 split-coil Jazz, through Best Bass Gear at that time.
