Starting a Youtube channel (bass covers)

Hey guys!

I couldn't find any topic that would suit this question, so I created this one... Please tell me if something already exists!

I've just started my own youtube channel of bass covers, and I would really appreciate to have some feedbacks/advices e.g. on the volume of the bass / the tone / the playing / the quality / the background / the angle of view / etc...

I really want to try and make this channel work, and I figured that coming here for a few feedbacks would be the best way to make a good start!

The channel : http://www.youtube.com/user/LeTendonBass

Thank you! :hyper:

Very nice job! The sound (and playing) were pretty darn good Imo- if there was one thing id do differently is I would try to get a different camera angle. When I started to watch YouTube covers I usually did it when I was having trouble figuring out a song, so the easier for me to see what's being played the better. The camera angle thing comes with experimentation though, it took me quite a few videos to get one that really works.
You should post your stuff in the 'you on YouTube' thread sometime. A lot of people post some great videos so it might be a good place to find some inspiration.

I did something like that yesterday in the beginning of my cover of crying lightning... I think it might do the trick for now! But hopefully my video editing skills will improve with time :D

And I still need to find a good camera angle!

Quite proud of the sound I got on crying lightning though, sounds a lot like the original :D

Hi! I'm pretty late to the party here on TalkBass and just saw your post. I went and checked your channel out. Looks great! Especially liked the Duffy meme cover lol, and your choice of music too. I subscribed.
I started my channel back in 2007. I left YouTube for a long time and just recently started posting covers again. My channel is https://www.youtube.com/c/emusedone
Go have a look if you want, I'd appreciate it! Thank you, Susie (emusedone)
