Just rekindled an old love after years of not being able to "get back into it". Funny to find that while my finger strength has gone out the window, I didn't have much trouble tuning up or moving around the fretboard.
Going to see if my parents can ship out my old beast in the next week or so, but in the meanwhile I picked up a second-hand Ibanez ATK300 to scratch the "I want to play RIGHT NOW" itch. Decent condition, a little scratchy on the backside, but whatever. I had it professionally restrung and setup, I'm happy with the tech's work. Will be going back to see him when my old bass shows up.
In the meanwhile, I've got 10 years to make up for.
