Starting over and need advice

I own a Squier Affinity PJ. It is a great bass for under $200. Three turns to the right with the truss rod and put GHS Boomers on it. You won't go wrong buying this bass.

If you're willing to step up to $350, Squier has great basses in that price range.

Ibanez has some super basses for $200 or less, the Gio line of sound gear. Great used prices. My srx300 cost me $150.

My Ibby is Korean '03 vintage and the Squiers are Indonesian manufacture. Their quality may not be same as my 2000 Precision A. S., buy they are quality made.

Good luck whatever you decide.

C'mon, dive in the waters fine.:)

I have been playing a LTD B-50 for the past 6 months. It is a great sounding bass, has a great feeling neck and very light. It has great balance. Mine stays in tune exceedingly well. They are definitely worth looking at if you are looking for a great bass at a pretty cheap price point.

Thank you to everyone for all of the help and advice I went today and tried about 5 different options I liked the RBX immediately. It felt good, it sounded good and it played well I was sold immediately. The others were ok but it just stood out to me. I had hoped for a red one but they didn't have one and I'm big on if it looks good, feels good and plays good don't overcomplicate things. Thank you to everyone again!View attachment 3545958
Sunburst is better anyway. It'll match any clothing you wear.

If you can, check out the Ibanez GSR200. My wife bought one years ago before we met, and it's my favorite bass in the house. I love to play it, and wouldn't hesitate to rock this on any gig. Really a great bass for the money. The older ones are passive, the newer ones are active. Seriously, a great sounding and playing bass.

Save up a bit more. And get a squire vm p bass, and a svt pre: to do hip hop, funk, etc. Filter, octave, microamp boost, Compressor.. Ok simple board. Digitech bass synth, danelectro chilidog octave 1oct down only, boss limiter enhancer, mxr micro boost, svt prepedal, add ons babe opto comp, mossy rat clone (on led mode). A cheap clean blend.. All theses are cheap.. And a piece of wood, Velcro, and mxr iso supply.. You are killing it.. Just buy used.. And as you develop.. Just a suggestion.. The ampeg pre. and mxr mini booster will give you.. Help with funk finger style.. And a hair tye mute.. With clean up your tone and overtones..
