Starting pedals

Agree with the multi effects suggestions posted. I had a simple Line6 M5 that let me try out and play with a lot of different effects, some of them I bought as separate pedals later on when I new what I wanted. But there are better multi effects out there now.
If you want to spend a little more I would suggest the Helix Stomp. It handles most pedalboard duties really well and you might end up with it as your only pedal.
