Double Bass Stat-b + phantom power..

Is it possible to use the schertler stat-b without the preamp? I'm pretty sure it needs 10V and as I have an acoustic image clarus head, was wondering if there was a way of using the phantom power from that.. I would need an XLR to rca lead.. hmmm

Any ideas?
