Steinberger Anyone?

I would try playing one before committing to buying one. I played my teacher's steini and I couldn't get used to the 24 frets and the fret position where the neck essentially joined the body. I guess I subliminally use the neck joint to help me know where I'm at. YMMV.

btw, he uses it as a travel bass and takes it with him while commuting on the bus, etc. you really can't do that with a regular bass so it definitely has it's advantages.
