I haven't gotten his cool factor either, but I do enjoy his bass playing. Sometimes it's like that. Needing to separate the person from their music and enjoy it for what it is. I do agree the video doesn't make the bass sound great... Looking forward to hearing samples from members here who buy it!I don't know why, but I find him to be an annoying egotistical guy. You would think that in an introduction video that they could at least get it to sound better than a farty cell phone recording. I'll stick with my 5 knob preamp.

$46,750?! I don't even have words... Thank goodness I don't like Fodera bassesInteresting how in the description on the webpage he says "JACK STRATTON AND I HAD A VISION — A BASS PARED DOWN TO ITS ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS. NOTHING EXTRA, NOT EVEN A VOLUME KNOB. THE FIRST BASS I KNOW OF WITHOUT ONE. AND THUS, WE CALL THIS BASS 'THE VISION.'" (sorry for the all-caps, I copied and pasted from the website) Umm, Anthony Jackson? Maybe rename it, 'SOMEONE ELSE'S VISION'?
Pfft! Next, you'll want it to come with a volume knob. The hate is silly. Innovation is great. Anything new is just a reason to see if it works or not. I wish it came in 5 colors.

I think that's part of the joke.
