Interesting new Joe Dart model up for preorder (along with the original). Looks nice and clean. Now with even less knobs.

I've been waiting for the 2026 crop to drop - just ordered my Joe Dart I. The only issue I have with the white one is that it's more expensive than the Joe Dart I. How is it more expensive but with one less knob? Is it the paint? The pickguard? The mojo? Inquiring minds want to know.

Yeah, that is a strange thing. I could see the pickguard and paint being a little more than than a knob, but certainly not $50 more.

Economy/Inflation/Tarrif?🙂
Well, I'm having the JD I shipped to Italy so I'm already paying an embarrassing amount for shipping and import fees 🙄 but whatever - I'm not letting another year slip by without one. And it's still less than they're going for in the used market.

Wonder how much more the fees would be if I had the knob removed and a fancy pickguard added... 🤔

Not only one less knob, one less pot and wires too, and the body doesn't have to be routed for them either so it's also less work.
