Sterling by MusicMan

I have the SbMM SUB Ray 5 and planning to change the standardpickup to Aguilar AG5M and the OBP-2 Preamp with bass and treble pots. Afraid of losing the right sound. Am I stupid if I do that? This will cost me $289 to Sweden.

It should theoretically get you closer to the classic sounds of a stingray seeing as the pickup is alnico rather than the stock ceramic. I would go ahead and do it. These are great basses to modify. The sock pre has to go.
