I'm interested in replacing the white pickguard on my Ray24CA with a black pickguard. Will the Music Man Ernie Ball Stingray ones fit? (not the recent special obviously) or would I have to get one on WDmusic.com? I'm not sure which one on that site tho.

Sterling Ray24 CA pickguard?

A regular stingray pickguard will fit. I know it to be true because I did it

What about the tuners? Hipshot HB1 or HB7? They look like HB1 would fit.
HB1. But only the bottom two holes on each tuner line up.
You'll redrill the top two for each tuner.

Did you fill in the original screw holes with wood glue? Those look like Schaller tuners tho.
They are schallers. They should be the same hole pattern as the HB1.
You can check the diagrams to be sure.

No reason to. Leaving them unfilled doesn't hurt anything. When I sold my bass, I kept the schallers and put the originals back on

Cool, thanks. I can always ask Hipshot too. What made ya sell it? I really want an expensive Stingray but they're just too much money. So had to settle on the Ray24CA. Not really a fan of the modern ones. I'm mainly waiting for EB to start up the Classic Stingrays again but until then, will make due with this. I keep bugging EB as well to make a cheaper version of the Cliff Williams bass.
I originally got one to be a bass that I could use on gigs where the weather might be iffy. (I do a lot of outdoor shows). Also as a backup to my main USA stingray.
I sold it because I was doing a lot of fly out gigs and wanted a short scale to bring on the airlines
Trust me, those Ray 24s are really nice basses and really do sound pretty close to a classic stingray.
I switched out my pickup and preamp and really didn't have to. It wasn't that much of an improvement
the only thing that needs improvement are the tuners. They're kind of cheap feeling
