Sterling, With or Without Pickguard? PICS

Basses07037.jpg

I took it 1/2 way on the SR5
I dig it.

The pickguard is so defining of the stingray that the lack thereof makes it very cool to me. It'll make a few more people say, "Damn, that bass sounds great, but what the hell is it?!?!"

Leave the pickguard off, and sand off the musicman label on the headstock. Let your fingers tell them who REALLY makes it sound good.

Ya know, drwhiteguy, I really like this idea.
De-badging.
I've done it to my amps in the past - kind of like 'screw the free advertising'. :spit:

Maybe I need an attitude adjustment...
