I just saw Chris Cain again, who's a legendary blues guitarist/vocalist from the Bay Area. Imagine Albert King, BB King and Robben Ford thrown into a blender...

Anyway, Steve Evans is still on bass, and he KILLS. His jazz bass (the same one from the clip above) was beat to poopie, had most of the neck finish worn off and it had a SQUIER headstock. Interesting that he's playing a "low end" bass, and he sounded fantastic. Such a grooving player.

If you've never heard him, take a listen as he takes a solo.

Everything a bass player should be, in my eyes. So many talented musicians around.

just stumbled upon Steve AGAIN gotta luv him

Steve is one hell of a nice guy. (So is Chris)
The Squier is a POS but he LOOOVES it.
It was given to him by a former student, John Alderete.

I've hung out w/ Steve a couple times, repaired a couple basses for him.
His house is full of High end basses and equipment but he plays that POS.
