Steve Harris P Bass

That's nice. Too bad it doesn't have the 3 tone binding.

It does, he just done it backwars and the blue is too close to the white to stand out.

what color is Harris' pickguard when he had the LPB bass?

Chrome/mirror.

A lot of people think its actually red mirror, like the Fender sig, and as most pic's have shadow, it can be hard to tell, like this.

But, when he re-finishes it, he keeps the same plain chrome guard, as you can see clearly from here. The one change I would have made to the Fender sig, I do not like the red one near as much.

and the body itself was LPB or blue sparkle? thanks.

Lake Placid Blue, AFAIK, but again, hard to tell, and most pic's are stage pic's, and have shadow, not to mention light falling on it will make it look brighter than should be.

Then again, Lake Placid Blue is supposed to be darker in real life, than pics, to match Steve's P, I have pic's of Fenders that came stock in it, and some times it looks exactly the same, so I'm guesing it is indeed LPB.

IIRC, Sparkle would be way more glittery, espcially due to Warmoth's colour vids for the sparkle finishes.

The red/mirror pickguard is red with the blue
because they are the West Ham colours.
Have a look at the home kit.

Ahem.... the official colour is claret and blue as that's the clubs colours. I have the crest tattooed on my leg as I'm a big hammers fan. I used to drink in the Ruskin Arms in East Ham where they first started off and also in the Royal Standard pub in Walthamstow which Paul Di'anno used to play with his band Battlezone.
