If there was a single song to crystallize the core intentions and concepts of Anthony Gonzalez and I when we created M83's "Hurry Up, We're Dreaming" record, it would be "Steve McQueen". It is very personal and dear to us.

Here is the rather interesting new video for it, which was the result of a competition put on by Genero TV, and directed by Balthazar Auxietre & Sylvain Derosne. For me, the song demands a video much larger in scope, but this has many charms.

Neat! I love this song, too, and is my go-to introduction to M83 whenever I want to show friends the band (along with "Kim & Jessie"). The vocals are just powerful.

My favorite song of the decade is still "New Map", which to me encapsulates a lot of your energy and Anthony's sense of atmosphere.
