Sticker or tape over chrome control plate?

Looking to make a chrome Warmoth Jazz plate into carbon fibre or black. Translucent is ok. I bought a black AllParts plate and it doesn’t have the holes in the same spot, so I will use the original.

How would you do it? Is there a good carbon fibre tape or black gloss tape 3” wide or better? What about adhesive stuff that comes in sheets? Auto tint? Nail polish?

You can use the carbon fiber sheets for auto interiors. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. Just a decal.

...or you could get an actual carbon fiber board and use your control plate as a pattern.

I was thinking that too but wasn’t sure if that is a route the OP wanted to go. He just mentioned decals.

Find a place that does car/truck wraps.They should have c/f wrap

If I had a way to cut it, I would consider the CF board material.

If you are going to cut your own use an appropriate particulate respirator. You don't want carbon fiber in your lungs.
