Sting vs. '51 Reissue

I owned both and much preferred the Sting

I owned both as well. When played back to back the Sting felt better than the '51. I think the Sting inlay bothers some people. I personally prefer the contoured body and don't mind the inlay, in fact, when I'm playing my Sting Bass, I never even see the inlay.

FWIW, the only time I really feel the difference between contoured and not is while sitting. Never had a problem with slabs digging in while standing.
