Good strings IMO, they seem well suited for the SR5. I'm going to try a set of D'Addario EXL170-5 however to see how I like them verses the Slinkys.

I actually have a pair of those with a few months on them I took off my ATK305 if you want them, I switched to the EXL160-5. They're similar basses you will probably like them, I just wanted to switch to medium gauge. I just found that my tech had put them back in my gigbag yesterday. The 305 is string-through so I think they'll be long enough for you. PM me if you're interested.

I mean it will practically cost nothing to mail them from AZ to Cali, and they're in pretty good shape, they won't have the new round wound zing but still plenty of life left. I prefer them over the EB's

Yup, Ernie Ball 2836 Regular Slinky Roundwound 5-String Bass Strings.

From the Music Man website:

"Q: Can you please tell me what type of strings are put on Music Man basses when they ship new from the factory?

A: The 4-string basses are all equipped with Ernie Ball Super Slinky Bass strings, item number 2834, when they leave the factory. The gauges are 45-65-80-100. The StingRay 5 and Bongo 5 use the same with an added 130. This set is our Regular Slinky Bass 5's, item #2836."

I received a set for Xmas and will put them on my EB MM SR5 in just a matter of days - I'll try to do a review.
