Stingray neck thickness

Hi all,
I recently picked up a used 2017 Stingray standard and was a little put off by the neck. It measures only about .805 at the first fret then to .93 at the 12th. This is my first stingray but was thinking the neck would be chunkier. I dont like thin (front to back) necks in general. Is this a normal thickness for "newer" stingray necks?

I think there is variance among basses and generations. It’s been a while since I owned stingrays but the stingray classic I bought abot 10 year’s ago was the chunkiest neck of mine. It was like a 70s fender, it sounded great but cramped my hands and I had to sell it. I had a 90s ray and I don’t remember the neck being as deep but it was pretty full and was probably closer to a modern fender precision. I had a pre-Eb from the Charvel Jackson era and it was definitely the slimmest of the neck. Best neck to me I’ve felt on a stingray, it was like thin jazz bass. It’s been too long since I played a real 70s stingray, but I think you’ll have to try a few to find one with a neck you like.

My 2008 Stingray had the largest neck I've ever personally encountered on a bass. I found it to be pretty comfortable, though it took a little time to adjust. No idea how it compared to the measurements you took, unfortunately. As Laklandfan said above, there's probably some variation in neck thickness from bass to bass.
