Stingray SR5HH Special - Pickguard choice

Courtesy of lowdownthump, I now have a new choice of pg for my SR5HHS. What would you choose?

Ps this is how it contrasts with its smaller 4 string sibling currently.

Honestly , I like them both .

To my eyes , the white PG brings out the green in the finish.

The black brings out more of the blue in the finish.

Since blue is my favorite color, I’m more attracted to the black PG.

But again they are both nice.

Hmmmmmm, tough call for me. I typically prefer black pickguards, but the white looks pretty good on this particular bass in this particular color. I have a feeling the black looks better in person. Does it?

You know what would look cool on this bass? Get a pickguard made out of that black/silver swirl material used on the old Brad Houser Reverend Bass.

The white looks best to me currently but I haven't seen it in bright light with the black fitted so maybe that will alter my view - the black's definitely staying on for a while.

I agree black ice may look good - also white pearloid (I changed my SR5 from black to white pearloid when brand new - still prefer it!)

Thats what puts me off Sitngray 5's, the pickguard it looks so ugly. EB should have stayed with the teardrop pickguard.

Different strokes and all that. I kind of dig the StingRay5 pickguard.

I am tempted and contemplating trying the MM SR 5HH in Aqua Sparkle. I just got a SR 5H Cruz Teal, but really want to try the 5HH Config. And the Aqua sparkle is an awesome color.

Do you prefer the HH versus the single H? And in person, which color do you prefer? Is that Aqua sparkle amazing in person? Sometimes pictures don't do a color justice.
