He had both a 1965 and 1966 Precision Bass in that collection. I hope he is insured...

I thought I would post this here in case they end up on the used market.

Damn, that sucks. It's pretty high profile to sell such an instrument like any of those today - hopefully the original owner gets them back.

Sucks but a great reminder to keep photos, serial numbers, receipts, etc. in a safe place to prove value and ownership if this should ever happen.

That's what I was thinking! Sure, they may be valuable, but they're also very high profile. It would be hard to sell them.

Unless they do something awful to them..........part them out, paint them or throw them away when they realize the trail is hot, thats the scary part.
