Hey guys,
Anyone know where I can get a good stopper? When i got my new bass it didn't have one so they put one on for me put it ripped the other day. Kinda cheap I guess I just got it last thursday so any suggestions?
The end pin cap. Have you considered going to a hardware store and getting a rubber cap like that is used on the bottom of chair legs? Take your end pin along so the clerk can help you choose the correct diameter and contour.
They all wear through eventually. There should be a metal insert inside of the rubber exterior that can be removed. Determine the diameter of this and then you have many options. There are tips that are marketed specifically as endpin stops and a large variety of cane or crutch tips. Some wear out faster than others.
Cane tips from a drug store work well. Take your endpin into the store when you get it so you know it will fit. If there is no washer at the bottom on the inside, add one so the sharp point rests in the hole and doesn't poke out.
