Storing a bass used every day

I want to know the best way or any way to store my bass without doing any harm to it.

I play it every day and REALLY like the idea of having it out of it's case and ready to play. I'm much more likely to pick it up for 5min. if I don't have to go get it out of the case, etc.

So, hang it on the wall? Floor stand where the weight is supported by the body of the bass? Floor stand where the weight is supported by the head-stock (basically a hanging floor stand)? Other ways? All of the above???

I did a search on "storage" and only found threads about storing basses for long periods of time. I'm sure my answer is out there, I just can't think of what to search under.

I'd say any of your suggested ways would work.

On the wall is usually more out the way than on the floor. FYI I'm a floor guy with body stands and neck support.

I have guitars all round my house and have done for many years now - some are in cases but for the same reasons as you, i like to have them out so I can grab one when passing and noodle on it for 5 mins. Some are wall-hanging, others are on floor stands, none of them seem to have suffered from this over the last 15 years. Once or twice the floor-stand ones have been knocked flying by a child, rampant dog or football so the more precious ones I leave on the wall.

I used floor stands for years but now use wall hangers for the most part. Both work well, never a problem with either method other than the occasional knocked over floor stand.

I have a 5 acoustic guitar Warwick stand in the basement that usually has 4 or 5 basses on it, I have a 2 guitar Hercules stand that is usually near my amp in my practice area with 2 basses on it and I have 3 basses on my wall in my office.

Out of the 13 or 14 basses I own usually only 4 or 5 are un their cases at any given time.

They are all in great shape and would not be in any better condition if I hid them away in cases.

The only problem would maybe be the strings dying earlier due to humidity?

I hang mine on the wall. No issues with the hanging or the strings...

I lay mine on a couch (no kids, footballs, etc. to worry about) or on a stand in my room. I play basically whenever I walk by the bass, even if it's only for a few minutes.
