I played a brand new rig out for the first time this weekend. It's a Mesa M6 Carbine into an H322 Bergie cab. It really smokes. During the set though, I started noticing that certain notes got swollowed up and were much less audible than others. The worst one was D note on the A string at the 5th fret. It only seemed to happen with the whole band playing, during a song. The low D (B string at the 3rd fret) was fine. My questions are; has anyone else experienced this, and if so, what, if anything can I do about it.
Here are some details; Medium sized hall with tile floor and concrete block walls, and drop ceiling. 2 guitars a drummer and me. My rig is stage right, next to a 30 watt Matchless guitar rig. We are about 10 feet behind the house gear (powered sub and a 1-12 and a horn high pack). The guitar player on my side of the stage and I were sharing a monitor. We play rock/country type stuff.
