Straplocks and String choices

Dunlop not secure? You're kidding right? I have them on both my basses and they're rock solid.

As for strings, I am currently quite enamored with DL Nickel Lo-Riders. They sound fantastic on my jazz bass. I'm thinking about trying out something else on the Washburn active.

I have Dunlops on most basses, but I have Ernie Balls on my StingRay 5. Both have been solid.

I us D'Addarrio XLs due to the solid tone and great price, but I may experiment again soon.

Loxx on both of my basses, incredibly easy to install and use.

Standard D'Addario XL nickel roundwound on the Jazz Bass, stock Elixir on the Ibanez (don't know yet what I'll switch to or, in fact, if I will switch).

Either way, .45-.105 all around

I put Schallers on everything (well not the Warwick with the recessed Dunlops, not yet)

I use schallers with my 4 string without issues but in my 5 string I can hear a bad noise due to the combination of bass weight of and my cheap plucking technique. I installed loxx on it and the nose problem is solve. I'm still working in the technique. Lol
