Double Bass Strawberry Music Festival

I've been to both, and yes spring is cold. There's a certain awesome factor that comes with the spring festival though. Last year, it was 75 degrees when we showed up on Thursday, and woke up Friday morning to snow. Watching Joan Osborne in the snow on Friday night was nothing short of magical. If cold weather camping isn't your thing, then yeah Fall would be the better choice.

Lived in the Tahoe area for almost 10 years and never made it to either show, to my regret.
I'm closer to that scene musically than I was then but geographically much more distant...
I'd love for it to happen some day, but meanwhile I'm trying to be more adventurous about attending events that are local to me now.

Have fun out there - I do miss the Sierra...

Hey fat Steve... ill be up in the fall! Had to miss this spring due to a faulty fuelpump....lol I was pissed...
last springs snow one day to rain then sun and bikini tops was awesome.... I got to thump with some real good pickers last fall...

So I'm really looking forward to this fall.... even though I have fellow picker friends I camp with.. I always cant wait to do the Strawberry Stroll and hope to find some new pickers...(bluegrass ers) friends are on the folkyamericana side....I prefere bluegrass. ?.:)

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM STRAWBERRY MUSIC FESTIVALS, INC:
