Got my new amp in friday and played a gig saturday. Love the amp but it made a terrible noise during the first set through my bass cab. Turned gain and volume off but still the same super loud screeching sound so i had to cut the amp off to get it to stop. Turned it back on and no problem till the start of the third set, then it happened again. When this happens the limit light is on. Any suggestions??

Sorry about the problem, a couple of troubleshooting questions...

1. Did the noise go away with the master volume turned down? (Possible V1-3)

2. Did the noise go away with the channel volume turned down and the master turned up? (Possible noisy V1)

3. Does if look like the master volume control look like it might have taken a hit in shipping or the amp dropped? (Possible cracked control element)

4. Possible that one of the screws on the front edge of the power amp module is not fully tight.

These are just about the only things I have ever seen cause this problem.

PM me and I will help you get this fixed

The more I think about this, the more I suspect that it's a cracked master volume control element.
