Think in terms of "winding length" (ball end to taper/silk) instead of "scale length". The thru-body Mustang needs strings with 33"-35" winding length, which for most manufacturers is "medium scale". Two notable exceptions are DR "short scale" (33.75" winding) and TI "short scale" (35.5" winding).Also, what length should i order?
