string gauge for 6 string in A standard?

I want to tune my ibanez Sr1206 to a standard, any recommendations on what gauge will work best without being excessively floppy?
I recently bought a set of the ernie ball power slinky 135 set, however these were still too loose and cause excessive fret buzz.
Was looking at circle k string, thinking of getting either.the .142 or .150 traditional tension set but am unsure due to their high price.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Changing gauges always calls for this, but the adjustments should be minor unless your already set up for A with that .135 - overall I bet you'll have the same total tension on your neck if you get a balanced set. It'll be slightly heavier on bottom and a bit lighter on top.

I bought it a few weeks backs on Craigslist for 300..a pretty good deal if you ask me. Nonetheless, it is already setup for standard tuning.
