string guage question for down tuning.

.100 to .105 will make a HUGE difference with the floppyness in drop d. I really don't think the thicker string will die off quicker, but it'll probably take a bit of time getting used to the slightly higher tension in standard tuning. If your just talking about replacing that one string, then it won't be a big change to get used to at all.
