String ID - black silks, no ball end wrappings.

As a regular user of GHS Pressurewounds, I kind of doubt that's what you have.

They're anything but "trebly" in their tonal character and they're stiffer in feel than typical rounds of similar gauges. Descriptions such as "snappy and stretchy", "fresh and trebly" and "much lighter and bendy" just don't match their character.

Hmm. Yes, I'm sensitive to the difference between Hibeams and Lo Riders from DR. The Lo Riders are far to stiff for me to enjoy playing.

As mentioned earlier in this thread, the pre-2010 Fender 7250s did come with black silk but at both ends, while the ones in your pics don't.

I had an unused set in the case of a 2000 precision I bought in 2017 (real closet queen). They were great strings, and so much nicer than the later 7250M.

The Pressurewound 44-106 would feel stiffer than the Lo-Riders 45-105 but smoother in surface texture.

Didn’t Carvin strings have black silks? Pedulla had black silks too.

Not sure about the Pedulla’s, but the Carvin nickels did! I believe that Kiesel basses now have Dunlop Super Brights from the factory.

They're not the Elites I thought they might be. Those have red silks at the ball end.
