Double Bass String ID help: Rabbath

Hi all, I’m trying to ID the string Rabbath used in this video (linked below). I’m guessing it’s obvious and I’m just not-in-the-know.

They appear to have Blue wrap at bottom, yellow at peg box.

Gollihur string ID page says superflexible solos… but I doubt he’s using those.

I’m primarily a BG player, but with holidays coming up, the upright usually gets some attention. I’ve had Obligatos on there for an embarrassingly long time, and am looking for something new.

I thought maybe Corelli too because the blue silk at bottom, but they don’t have the same pegbox color as those in the video.

It appears that the strings have loops (not ball ends) at the tailpiece, like Tempera (but obviously not Tempera).

His work with Savarez on Corelli strings was a long time ago.
He worked with Gerold Genssler for his Sonores strings.

Thanks for helping with the ID. Assuming the color code on the left column is the PDF is correct, maybe that’s what it is, and I’m only seeing the two blue strings. Nice… but too rich for my blood in terms of cost. I like the idea of something more suitable for solo work with a cello like tone though, maybe for some unique contributions with my band that are distinct from the BG work, or “special music” in church services. Thank you.

for what it's worth, his strings are all designed to sound "new" indefinitely, and can be an investment that pays off over time.

Gerald actually has the Rabbath set back on the Sonores string program for 2026.

Those can be Genssler´s Sonores basso set. I have a 2023 set with blue silks at he tailpiece end and yellow silks in the pegbox. Great strings! I think he made the Bassos before the Rabbath set.
