String length problem?

Hello all,

I am about to install Rotosound Tru Bass (RB 88LD) strings but I am concerned about the length of the E string.

This is where it sits.... looks to be too long

Will this be a problem? The other strings seem to have enough silk wrap between the nut and the tuner.

Looks like you have a medium scale bass, buy medium scale strings.

thats what the B string is like on my 5 string fretless. i'm using roto tru bass 88 and the B string sound fine. its about 1/4 on a inch off silk before it starts winding round the nut

the bass measures 34" from nut to bridge saddles

the strings are for 32-34"

if you look at the picture of my bass then you would see that the D string would be short if i had ordered med strings and not long. the long set just fitted my bass. also have them on my beatles bass and there is only about 1/2 and inch of slik.
