I was unable to find any information on the subject other than flats vs. rounds vs. et al

My Mustang is new 2012/13 and I`m enjoying the sound "outta box",but...she needs a basic set-up(esp. "E" string intonation, buzzing) so 2-birds-1-stone time.
All I want is a deeper,"bassier" overall tone, reduction in much/some of the mid-range/high-range I seem unable to lessen.Obviously much of the prob. is the Orange Crush 20B amp`s limited eq flexibility, and I understand that.Simply requesting advice, opinions from wiser and more experienced players here.

Rounds that will bring out more bottom ends from my Squier`s 'Duncan Designed' pups, maple neck/board and generic practice amp. My `93 Ibanez EXB 404 has D`Addario XL Nickle Wound(bright rounds).Nice sounding.

I`d much appreciate any and all input, fellow TBers!
Happy Thanksgiving to All!
