String Scuff

I was being lazy restringing and my 'E' made a mark on the finish just below the bridge where the ball end sits as I fed the string through.

Just a scuff and not scratched as such but I'd like to go back in time or put invisible scuff remover on it.
I know things get bumped sooner or later but are there techniques to smooth out a scuff that don't involve an expert?

My black Jazz has them...I call it Mojo.....:D Well, that and being careless with Rotosounds....I'm more careful now but it really doesn't bug me too much. I suppose with poly a fella could just get some polishing compound and buff em right out..
