Stringjoy No Longer Offering Single Strings For Bass

Thanks. I'm checking out the GHS website right now. They definitely have singles. I see they also have a tension calculator for each of their string types...very cool.
And I would also recommend checking out their tension chart.

For anyone into balanced tension string sets, a surprising number of GHS' prepackaged "off the shelf" sets are pretty balanced in tension, e.g. 40-120 Boomers.

Another interesting thing about GHS strings is that if you look at their tension numbers vs, say, D'Addario tension numbers, GHS strings are generally higher tension (and often stiffer feeling) than comparable D'Addarios. This is good for those who want the playability of lighter gauge strings with the stiffness of a heavier gauge.

A whole heck of a lot of marketing???

Well, speaking as an early adopter of Stringjoy offerings, I'll admit that their email barrage can get quite annoying.

Having said that, I love their strings. Sadly, the very first thing to go were custom gauge short scale bass strings which were a fairly rare option at the time. Thankfully I bought a bunch of sets so I should be good for another couple of years...

I guess I'll just have to find another "favourite" set of short-scale rounds...:rollno:
