I would be really grateful if anyone here could point me to a reliable retailer of strings for Warr Guitar. I used to be able to buy strings through the Warr website, but that's no longer an option. I'm returning to the instrument after a long interval, so any current info would be most appreciated.
The strings I need for the bass side need to be tapered to fit into the bridge saddles. The strings from Stick Enterprises (I went through them years ago) did not have the tapered end. In any case, thanks for your response.
Stick Enterprises will not sell their strings for use on any instrument other than a Stick (perhaps for limited time / supply reasons).
The Warr Guitars website has unfortunately not been updated with recent news. Mark Warr has handed over all Warr Guitar operations to the Warr Guitar luthier Hanewinckel Guitars who can apparently now provide strings (note: their website still has not been updated to include or mention Warr Guitars). Hanewinckel Guitars
This Warr Guitar news is from Jim Wright who worked for Warr Guitars in the past, and from Pete Hanewinckel who i emailed a while ago.
Yes, you get Warr Guitar strings from Pete Hanewinckel [email protected]
Pete built the guitars for Mark Warr and has now started building again.
I have just ordered another 12 string artist, and just bought 4 sets as I live in Australia.
