Double Bass Strings for a 41" scale 5-string, w/ pictures

Hello I have a Read Custom 5-string EUB. The headstock has had a few issues (now in the past) and the 8 year old strings are currently soldered together. I primarily use the magnetic pickups and very little bowing. I tried to make sense out of the JustStrings site, but the 41" 5-string aspect confounded me. The longest string has a travel of about 66". What should I get? Looking for a sound akin to Animal Logic.

My apologies if this topic has been done to death, but searching gave me too many or too few options.

41" is a standard double bass string length. You can use any steel double bass string. Thomastik, D'Addario, and Pirastro all make 5 string sets; just specify low B or high C.

salcott is right, any regular upright string will fit.

Please forgive my ignorance, but what is Animal Logic? A band's name?

With my modest skill level, I was hoping for some guidance as to what brand or style within a brand could be suitable, as this would be my first string purchase of this sort.

Animal Logic was a band in the late eighties, Stanley Clarke used an eub w/ a particularly agreeable tone to me.

I was not able to find what EUB he was using.
His website lists this gear today: Invalid Link Removed

Today he's using his Spellbinder strings: Link Removed

However, knowing the kind of tone he has on upright, you can't go wrong if you get Thomastik Spirocores strings.
For easier playing, you may want to look at the Weich (light or soft in german) gauge.
He has been playing on LaBella strings for a long time. (and my guess is that these Spellbinder strings are actually made by LaBella...)
The LaBella models you may want to look at are the 7720M, 7720L and 7720S.
Medium, Light and Solo (extra-light) gauges, respectively.
Not many retailers are keeping LaBella upright strings though.
