hey guys, ive finally got decent gear and well my string i dont think fit the sound i want.. i need some strings and i want something that will sound good on a warwick fna jazzman, primarely a low B that will still sound as "loud" as the other strings and i can hear clearly without distortion when i turn up the bass knob on my amp.. any suggestion?

strings for a 5 string warwick

Actually what type of sound you looking for and also what type of music do you play?
You prefer deep mellow sound? Bright sound? etc

more of a deep mellow sound, not a lot of brightness to the strings, i cant stand bright high end
I go for a bright tone - which you don't! I love the Warwick black label strings.
I think you might find that Warwick's Yellow label strings are great for you - they lost their brightness too fast for me but settled into a pretty nice sound that you might dig.
Be careful about the low B's thickness as the string passes the tailpiece. I tried DR Red Devil Extralife strings on my warwick once, and the B didn't fit. DR's coated strings don't all come with a taper B option, but I have some Black Beauties on now which have been great since new years eve. While my next set is going to be Warwick Black Label, I'll continue to use DR Black Beauties sometimes too. But for you - try the Warwick Yellow Labels next. I got mine mailed to Australia from Mike's Chop Shop - he's a decent guy.

I stay away from Flats personally on a warwick bass. They sound deep to me even with everything flat etc.
So i like more brightness on the string for warwick.
I only have a 4 string crovette but i used stainless steel strings like Rotosound or DR LoRider. Could try some Nickel string.
