Strings for a Dingwall Super P

I don’t want flats. The P is a four string. I was thinking about trying some pressure wound strings, always heard good things. But what do you all think? Do I need to buy extra long scale to accommodate the E and A strings?
GHS Pressurewounds only come in "long scale" with 37.25" winding length (ball end to taper/silk). The good news is Ken Smith Compressors are the same Alloy 52 "rollerwound" also made by GHS as the closest sibling to the PWs. Ken Smith "long scale" is longer at 38" in winding length, which should be long enough for your bass.

No. I have used several standard sets of strings with no issue including:

GHS Boomers
Ernie Ball Super Slinky (Orange and Pink)
D'addario XL 165 and 170

None of those are pressure wound but IMO pressure wound are overrated.
Agree, pressure wound has no magic but high tension. That's all.

Smooth feel ? Both DR sunbeam and Dunlop SBN just as smooth but comfortable stiffness.
