Strings for a T'Bird

What kind of strings should I try on my Gibson T'Bird?

I play with a pick and I'm looking for something bright that really cuts well in the mix.

Roto 66s are good. DR Highbeams as well....

If you want bright with low string noise try either roto or GHS pressure wounds very brite but smoother for less noise better feel

I've used the EB Slinky for years on my P-Bass and I think they sound killer. First set on the T'Bird gonna be EB's.

Think I'll order in some Roto also. Never tried 'em.

Roto's are just dead tone. They sound awful! EB are ok I guess, nothing special. D'addario Pro Steels are awesome! i cant say enough good things about them!

As for Blue Steels, they rule on guitars. I have yet to try them on a bass though. I also hear GHS Boomers are awesome. Either way, dont touch EB or Roto, go for the Pro Steels!

When I used to play my 64 out I used Roto 66s. Fender has some good strings that are often over looked as well. I use various Fenders on several of my basses.
