I'm beginning to record a project but before I start, I want to change the strings on the bass I'll be using. For my past few changes, I've been putting D'Addario flat wounds on my j bass. I'm trying to make have the recordings come out clearly bass driven but I'm afraid nickels are going to drown out the twinkly guitars (acoustic btw because all I have in my dorm is my Taylor). Could someone please give me some suggestions?
