Strings for Hofner basses, 3 brands

I know Hofner's history, red a few books and living in Europe, here we have lived the brand more than other countries.
however, they are not made by "one man", it's still a factory with lots of personnel, and considering how they come setupped (I've own and tried many), I don't think that there is so much QC...

bridges with octaves totally off, frets that needed a lot of work, screwed parts that are loose...

you can name one of many luthiers in there? but it's still a factory work.
"handmade" it's just because they don't work with CNC, and produce few pieces, but they have different production lines.
necks are made in a factory, bodies in another, electronics in a third, and they mount everything based on orders from shops around the world.

it's well explained in many books about Hofner instruments and Hofner Violin basses.

I've only used Thomastiks on other basses. On my Ignition I use La Bella 760FHBB, which I find is a vanilla flatwound: a good middle-of-the-road tone, without the brightness of Roto 77 or the midrange "vintage"-ness of Thomastik.
